Meet your pilot

Kick off one of Zermatt’s most sought-after adventures at Bahnhofplatz 7, where you’ll meet your licensed tandem pilot. Even if it’s your first time flying, a clear safety briefing and step-by-step guidance make you feel confident before gearing up for the skies.

Paragliding flow

Your paragliding journey begins with a scenic cable car ride, arranged with your pilot’s help, to either Rothorn or Blauherd, chosen on the day for the safest and most picturesque launch. At the summit, you’ll gear up with your co-pilot as safety harnesses and equipment are carefully checked before takeoff.

Takeoff thrill

After your pilot’s countdown, you run a few steps down the launch slope and the wing lifts you into the air. Within seconds, you’re paragliding over Zermatt’s peaks and valleys with the Matterhorn in view. The silence, broken only by the rush of wind, makes it both calm and exhilarating.

Alpine flight

Guided by a licensed tandem pilot, the paraglider catches thermal updrafts and mountain air currents to extend your time in the sky. You’ll float past glaciers and ridges, thousands of meters above the Alps, experiencing the unmatched freedom of flight.

Safe landing

Your pilot guides a controlled descent, touching down on one of Zermatt’s landing fields such as Winkelmatten or Täsch. The adventure wraps up where it began, often with photos or GoPro footage to relive the flight.

Weather matters

Paragliding is always subject to alpine conditions. Flights only take off in safe weather. Strong winds, snow, or storms can cause delays or rescheduling, but this ensures the smoothest and safest flying experience.

Don’t stop at landing, soar higher at Glacier Paradise

You’ve reached the base station, but the journey doesn’t stop here. Trade your harness for a soaring cable car ride to Glacier Paradise, Europe’s highest viewpoint, where new alpine wonders await.

Peaks visible during the flight

Depending on your launch point, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of various Alpine peaks.
